Hello, I’m seeking a physicist to help me optimize the heating of a swimming pool given certain parameters and variables. Context: I run a therapeutic swim school for kids with autism and other special needs. We’ve rented a residential swimming pool with a heater. In order for the kids to have the best experience, the pool during business hours should be at 85 F. The heater comes with a timer, such that on and off times for the heater can be set at any hour of the day. The heater is equipped with a thermostat. Paramaters: The pool is an in-ground type that holds an estimated 7,000 gallons. On TUE WED and THU the pool is used between 1030am and 330pm. On SAT and SUN the pool is used between 9am and 4pm.
