We have recently delivered POS software to 400+ liquor retailers in Delaware State of USA to capture their sales on a daily basis. When collated, this POS data gives us a rich insight into the sales patterns for various categories/sub- categories/brands/SKUs. When we overlay these sales patterns over the demographic data of a region, a very vivid profiling pattern emerges. Marketers and distributors of liquor are willing to pay huge amounts to get this data/pattern analysis since they can use it to execute extremely targeted marketing campaigns to yield highly cost efficient ad spends. This implementation is so successful that it is proposed to roll out this software on pan-USA basis.
