...This fall outside what the theme can do but I need this to work for them. The most obvious problem is with vertical videos. Wordpress does a Featured screen capture and puts that at the top. I think this is actually normal. I say this because on the good example what you actually see is the feature image. But when you press play on it the actual video plays in the same exact dimensions as the featured image. Very clean very nice. The bad one doesn't work even if I change the featured image to match the good one's dimensions. Once the embedded video causes this error: URL <embed url> does not match any of known video types (YouTube, Vimeo, Bunny, self-hosted). I think nothing will work properly on the post page.
