Hello, My server is in rescue mode and I have recently made a full backup. The backup is in a .tar file on the server, but I cannot download it to my home computer because WinSCP is giving me the error: "Cannot execute SCP to start transfer. Please make sure that SCP is installed on the server and path to it is included in PATH." I have tried to connect via SFTP but it will not initialize. Because the server is in resuce mode I cannot move the tar file to a publically accessible directory and download. And I cannot push it to a remote server (it's 18GB).. I need to be able to download it locally to my home computer, but I cannot resolve the SCP error. Anyone that can help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

I would move it to a discrete disk on the server (ie, not part of a raid array)and then physically remove the disk and attach it to another machine that has the ability to read that drives format (NTFS etc). Hope that help, not bidding.
