Although you have asked for vb.net, I would suggest porting you Access DB to C# backed WPF application with MySQL as the database. This is a more future-proof solution so you would not have to re-write the application again in a few years. C# is a modern language that has much better syntax and more developer involvement than vb. Let me know if you have any questions.
