We would like some help to configure a servicenow developer instance to be able to send some metrics to a REST webservice publicly available on the Internet. We would like to schedule the calculation of a metric such as "% of open incidents of category X within SLA" and send it to our webservice. We need to have it properly documented so we can inform our customer how to replicate it in their ServiceNow instance.

I have been working on ServiceNow since 5 years, worked on all type of work in SNOW like customization as per client requirement, ITIL, ITSM, integration, cloud provisioning, Service Portal etc. # ServiceNow:- I have experience in AngularJS, java, Glide Record, LDAP integration, integration with other systems using SOAP and REST. Worked on OOB applications like Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, Service Request Management, HR Case, Asset Management, Finance management etc. Also created custom applications as per customer requirement. #Integration with other systems: Previously I have worked upon a integration between ServiceNow and other systems like LDAP, SAP, HPSM, Remedy etc. To be specific I had a project to make synchronisation between SNOW-HPSM and SNOW-Remedy. Where Incident, Change or Service request can be created and updated at one end and that need to be created or created in other system. Also we have to keep real time synchronisation in two systems. To communicate two systems we have used REST and SOAP API's and rest of the logic was built with ServiceNow platform knowledge. Having ServiceNow experience I can contribute to this project from the ServiceNow prospective. Note: To build trust I can create a POC for this project. Also I can manage/provide more than two resources if needed. Looking forward to work with you. Thanks

Hi, From what I understand, you don't need a metric for this. Metric is used to calculate duration and in this case, you need a report. You can either publish the report and share the url or schedule the report and email to recipients. Since you want to send it to WebService using REST, my recommendation will be 1. Since 3rd party tool needs to consume data from SN, create REST service in SN and lets 3rd party tool make a call to SN 2. If you want to send details from SN to 3rd party tool, then we can send it as a JSON array "% of open incidents of category X within SLA" = I guess this is Open incidents which has not breached SLA yet? This can be done in max 3-4 days time. By the way, more details might help
