The Rabbit In Me (A Chronicle Of My Seven Years In Prison)

Hi, In 1985 I was stationed in the USCG on Lake Michigan. I was arrested for distributing cocaine and made a 75k bond. Three days before my scheduled trial, I faked my death in an ice-fishing "accident" and went on the lam. I was re-apprehended four months later in backwoods Louisiana and subsequently spent seven years in prison (1985-1992). It was in prison, under harsh and adverse conditions, that I changed my direction in life and made the decision to be a musician. Which I have successfully done since my release. After 30 years of telling all the crazy stories from that time, and people telling me to write them down, I finally did and published it in July 2022. It's a memoir called "The Rabbit In Me" (Amazon). It's stories about my time on the run, turning my life around in prison through music, and survival behind the walls. Although it was not my intention, they've all advised me to pursue the idea of bringing my story to film. I do not know how any of this "movie stuff" works, though. I am a musician.
