The problem is not PHP. You will not do it faster in Phyton. The problem is you are opening up 200 connections, which will take a while. You can do it with multiple instances of cURL but for 200 websites it will still need around 20-30 seconds to gather the needed infos. The other method would be to scrap the websites with a cronjob, lets say every 5 minutes you scrape 10 websites. The results would have to be stored in a database or file. Then you can always get the datafeed very fast. But it could be that some scraped data is already around 2 hours old (with 200 websites and 10pages/5 min.) Anyhow i can do that job. I have more than 20 years of programming experience with more than 15 years of web development. If you have any questions just ask. Best regards, Fabian

15+ years custom php data-mining/scraping i have an excellent multi-curl class - you can load 100/pages at a time (or more with better machine) i suggest cron job with multi-curl script and just save img links / urls in temp file - thanks, joe
