I have a windows based program that I need to automate. In the end, the script should create some pdf output files (the files are created by printing from within the program). The program after reading a base file (that I will provide), creates a report about the energy efficiency of a building plan.
This is how I do it manually: I start the program, from within the program I open a base file for a building, there is a pull down menu in the program on the main page in which I select a building orientation and another pull down that selects the proper evaluation criteria (energy code). Once the base file is opened and the proper pull down items selected, I then print out a pdf from within the program. I save this pdf with a specific name that would identify the plan and its orientation. Done.
There are several plans that need pdf files of all of the standard orientations (north, northeast, east ... all 8 directions). The windows program I use is REScheck version 4.6.1. It is free and found on this website [login to view URL] It is important that the Utah 2012 Code (found under the top "Code" tab) is selected when making the files. You can test this with the attached file. I will need a batch process created as I have about 50 .rck files work through.
I want to discuss this project with you further, let me know the best suitable time for you to schedule the meeting, Feel free to message me at any time, i used to be online 14 hrs in a day on this website so probably you will get a quick response from my end.
