Mini Radio Controlled drones have a flight controller which can output PID data from a blackbox recorder to better understand the flight characteristics of the drone, as well as visually examine the controller behaviour under certain conditions. For a person with a high level of PID understanding this is easy, however those that do not know PID controllers, it is hard for them to make changes to PIDs in order to make the flight feel smoother/more direct without oscillation.
The aim of the project is to take the Cleanflight Blackbox data from a flight, and create a chrome app that can input this blackbox data, and the program can advise or identify issues that can then show what changes to PIDs are required to improve the flight characteristics.
This project will require an advanced understanding of PID controllers and PID controller programming.
Therefore, this request is to design & program a Google Chrome app which allows the blackbox flight data to be interpreted and through PID understanding and calculation, which can then provide the user recommendations on how to improve the behaviour of the PID flight controller.
