Make this ADO and Faster

I have a program that looks good, but has run into some problems on one form. Seems that the connection that was created is very slow when the program loads, and does not run as smoothly as it should. As soon as the Access database grows, the program takes about 30 seconds to even load. The api calls have made this crash a few times and return errors on other forms. The initializing of the dataconnection is on the mdiform, and is in a module. The problem with this code is the connection to the database I think. When I originally created it, I only used the traditional ADO connection. This was fast. I had another coder work on combining the two forms into one, and it works, but is very slow, and hesitates. When you click add and if there are tickets added, then you cancel , you see a hesitation before it releases. What I want to do is to take this back to the ADO connection where it will run fast, without causing any problems in other forms. Since most of the program uses the regular ado connection, I think that this form should as well. The problem form is on the form customers. There are three other related forms to this one, add tickets, add products and add services which are buttons on this form. Fix this connection on the form customers to work like the other ado connections. Make sure it runs smoothly and loads fast. Check your work, add customers, delete, cancel and test this out before you give it back to me. The compiled program should open fast, and the user should not have to wait 20 seconds or more for it to load up. Open other forms and make sure that the connection does not cause any other forms to crash. Make sure that any other related objects to this form work well. This includes reports etc. Don't overlook this please. Do not make any changes to the database, as the problem is not there,,,I repeat, the problem is not in the database. How do I know this. Well, I still have the code I originally wrote before these two forms were combined into one. I can take this database and run the database without any problems at all in my "old" but very bad code. Please don't take this if you don't have the time to do this.
