Contest based website access

The project is about programming a contest based access portal for a website, both the administrator side and user side. Upon landing on the front page, the visitor is met by this portal, with 3x 5 contests that link to external pages for participating in them. The three categories are: manually highlighted, the highest rated and the newest. After reaching this screen the user needs to be able to filter the results by three factors: deadline (with a date selection tool), category (dropdown) and value (dropdown with intervals). The results should then be shown in a new view, divided into pages. The contests should be shown as a miniature image, with a larger one on hover, a title, a short description, rating shown as five stars, combined with the possibility of the user rating it themselves, a participate-button, category, value as in how much can be won and a countdown to the deadline. As mentioned the participate button should open an external link. On the admin side the administrator needs to be able to do the following: Add categories Add intervals (for value filters) Add a contest Upload image (resized with PHP to fixed miniature size, and a fixed size for the hover images Type the title Type the description Type the value (whole numbers) Choose category (dropdown) Choose deadline (calendar for day, text field for time) Mark as highlighted Add the link to the contest (external) Edit contests with the same settings as above Delete contests As specified in the skills field this is to be done in PHP and MySQL
