YouTube Stats API Query - repost

We need a reliable and repeatable script using Ruby, PHP or Python (ideally Ruby) that can be executed on a regular basis to query Youtube for the following data, which should be stored in a cache file that will be used by a web application. - Channel ID - Most Recent Video - Latest Activity - Category - Subscriber Count - Total video views The query should be constrained to only users that have over 1,000 subscribers. The data should be serialized and stored in JSON format, preferably, or CSV otherwise. We will need to know how many API requests this requires and which aspects of this are rate limited, so that we can determine how often to run this script.
