Google Maps Template

I would like help designing a google maps 'template'.? I will supply several KML layers.? I would like this 'template' to take these KML files and load them into Google Maps. I would like to have some sort of parameterization so that I can select what is shown by default but the user has an option via a checkbox to show (or remove) additional layers. ## Deliverables Please look at this site for an example.? ? <[login to view URL]>[&][1] What I would like to do is to generate? 1 or more KML layers and have the site load some? kml file (a layer in the map)? by default (default is set in some sort of parameter file) but then have the ability for a user to load or unload additional layers via a checkbox. Default google controls exist on the page (pan, zoom, etc, large size) Default ability to fly to a location exists--find a place name Default ability to view only street type map, not hybrid, not Satellite Page should be 800 px across Fonts and styling should be set in a css page.? Please use 10pt Arial or similar for default.? Allow for a seperate style for the checkox versus text used around the map. I'd like the parameterization so that a) the number of layers is flexible (always greater than 1 and 1 layer is always default=true).? The number of checkboxes will grow as needed depending on the number of KML files available.? I would anticipate no more than 9 layers.? You could run the checkbox down the left side of the page? so it can grow. b)? the name of the layer is flexible and diven by parameter, not file name. So if the layer is called [login to view URL], there is some parameter in XML? or database that gives [login to view URL] the name in the layer checkbox of? Available to Rent (something easier for reader to? understand) c) there is the ability to load some graphic near the layer checkbox to act as a legend.? This can be a fixed width image file which is defined in the parameter file d) the centering position of the page is parameterized.? So on initial load, some parameter in the paramater file defines the initial centering position (lat, long) of the google map.? The map opens centered on this position. e)? there is flexibility in the future to reposition a layer.? so if in default the layers are loaded 1,2,3 they could be arranged by the user as 3,2,1.? In other words the user controls in what order the layers? load.? This isn't baseline functionality but would be nice to? add? later after we see how this template goes.? I'm not looking for this in the baseline project, just something to think about for a build on to this template. Thanks for your consideration.
