Oscommerce expert needed I need someone having very good skill in Oscommerce in order to customize it for a eshop. Perhaps some Flash knowledge will be needed. I’m working with Windows. General information : - The shop is for selling academic software. - All the site’s pages have been customized just for aesthetic purpose (they have already been designed) - The site has some flash effects, mainly messages that are displayed in some pages. But I don’t need a Flash site. - The site structure has already been designed. - No stock management. - An integrated email contact. Site description : 1) Catalogue : 1- The cover of the catalog is the defautlt site’s home page. This is the place where the academic subjects and their moduls are displayed. Eg : MATHS (subject) : Pre-algebra, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometriy (modules) etc.. 2- When a visitor clic on a module above he is brought to the next level of the catalog, where the content of each module is displayed. Eg : PRE-ALGEBRA : Fractions : chapter 1, ...chapter n. A software will be made up with a chapter. This is where the prices for individual licences are displayed. 3- Visitor interactions at this level of the catalog : - There is a demo for each chapter (sofware) : when a visitor clic on any demo button for the first time, a form is displayed (pop up , but how to overcome the problem of pup-up locking by the browsers ?) where he can sign in if he is already a member of the site or, he can register if he isn’t a member yet). - Once registered or logged in, the windows is closed so that the vistor remains at the place where he was before registration or log in. So He will be then able to access the demos. - If he has allready signed in when entered the site, the demo will be lauched automatically. - At this level, the visitor will be able to buy items. Each chapter is divided into subchapters which could be bought separately. There is then an “Add to the cart” button for each subchapters. - If the visitor want to buy the whole chapter, he will be able to do that by clicking to the appropriate button. - There is a link under each page of the catalog that leads to another page where the prices of school licences are displayed. The schools can only buy a whole chapter, they are not allow to purchase subchapters. The demo of schools are downloadable. The schools also will have to fill in l a form before downloading the demos. NB : If there is more than one screen for a module, instead of scrolling down, there will be and arrow that brings the visitor to the next sreen of the module’s content. 2) The shopping cart This is the place where customers’ purchases are displayed. They can canceled an item or add quantities. The customer enter here by cliking on “My account” button. - The items in the shopping cart and their total amount are visible permanently. - On this page, the customer will be able to make payment. All the means of payments are displayed here so that he can choose the one that he needs. These means are the follow : Paypall with credit cards, Money Booker, Ikobo, Western union, bank and post transfers, etc. - It will then be necessary to install the scripts for Moneybooker, Western Union and Swiss post payments on the site. - The shop will accept the following currencies : Euro, dollars ( US, Canada, Australia), Pounds and Swiss francs. - There will be two ways of delivery : a) digital delivery by download. If the customer check this box, then there will no be shipping costs or taxes. - subchapters items will be delivered only digitally. b) CD-Rom dilevery if this box is checked, then there will be shipping costs depending on the delivery location. - In some cases, there will be taxes. If the customer choose CD-ROM delivery in the same country where the business has been incorporated, then he will have to pay VAT. - The customers could be sent a CD-rom only for a whole chapter items not for subchapter items. 3) Navigation bar There are 9 buttons 4) Other site’s features Emails : - An email will be send automatically to the visitor after his first visit, whether he has purchased or not . - An email will be send automatically to the customer as soon as hewill confirm his order. - All the orders will be stock so that, as soon as the paiement is received, an email is sent to the customer. This email will contain the bill and the download links if needed. - The news letter will be manage automatically. - Emails will be send periodically to all customers and visitors. Protection against hacking What I need : 1) A site that works with the features describe above. 2) A tutorial which allow me to maintain the shop without any external or additional help. This tutorial will concern mainly : - adding software in the catalog - cancelling an items in the catalogue - changing the price of items - Doing promotion - Changing the aesthetic appearance of the pages etc.. 3) Help for launching the site on the web. 4) Suggestions possibly. TERMS : 1 ) Money. I will put the money in the escrow account but will not release any of the money until the project is complete. Also, I will not make any upfront payment. Once you finish the project I will happily release to you the total amount agreed on. 2) Time Please tell me the approximative time needed to complete the project. Don’t tell me that it needs 2 weeks and drag it out for 2 months. 3) communication : Please keep me informed on how things are progressing with my site.
