The KavNet Project was built as an ASP frontend to an Access Database with a touch screen for exmployees to create drink orders which are passed onto the bar to be filled. The process of adding orders has been through a shopping cart script - This is tedius and slow because it sends data to and from the server via post every time an item is selected. The design idea that the order process will take is to have a page with 3 vertical "frames". The first is a summary of the selected items, the middle is a list of all the different categories, and the end is the list of products. The selection of the products is to be in Javascript, that creates a workable POST to the ASP script that can be written to the database. ## Deliverables The objective is to: Create a JavaScript application: Have the products in a certain category as buttons on the right hand frame. Each time this button is pressed, the left frame registers 1x that product. If a button is pressed more than once, the 1st frame says 2x that product and so on. For example: Say the order was for 2 cokes and a lemonade - The employee presses [coke] [coke] [lemonade] and the left frame registers "2x Coke, 1x Lemonade" The employee can then click on another category from the middle frame, the right frame refreshes and they can continue selecting products. At the end of which the left frame contains a summary of the products selected and an OK button is pressed. The ok button needs to POST back to the server (in the form of a text box or hidden field) the SQL statement that will write the selection to the database. The aim is to make this process as fast as possible with as little requests from the server as possible. 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform Internet Explorer 6+
