I am looking for an experienced web site designer with both extensive front end and back end skills and experience to assist in the following web site development projecy: 1º: Interface with us to design the functionality (not the graphical design, but the features and information arquitecture of the site) 2º: Create both the front end and the back end of the web site, including all database functions. The site will provide the following services: 1º: Allow users to read & post comentary, segmented into different categorizations or types of posts 2º: Allow users to dynamically create chat rooms and IM amonst those interested in the post 3º: Allow users to send an email/Im to friends allowing the friends to read the post by clicking and being sent to the site 4: Allow users to add multimedia (photos, audio, video, etc) to their posts 5º: Allow users to vote on each posting classifying it as the most XX, or the most YY 6º: Allow users to link posts to certain sites The site will rank each post according to certain weighted criteria, such that the highest ranked posts are seen first (rather than simply the most recent) The site will enable hyperlinks between related posts (using certain keywords and categories) The site will enable a ranking of posts according to most voted in certain categories, as well as most read The content management system will enable real time altering of the site design, arquitecture, elements, criteria, etc, by non programer staff using a graphical user interface The site will be in a number of languages, and will enable dynamic automatic translation of posts between these languages; the software used to effect the translation should be freeware Our staff will be able to manuallly filter and edit posts, including their recategorization ## Deliverables The project consists of three phases: 1º: Design of the functionality of the system, in other words, the complete front end. This will involve taking the basic ideas outlined beforehand and working interactively with us to design the look and feel of the site, the information arquitecture, and the functionality. Need for a very pro-active approach. 2º: Design of the back end architecture, taking into account the need for maximum reliability and scalability (millions of hits per day if the site is succesful), speed of execution of the database functionalty under heavy usage, and need for real time and completely dynamic maintenance and changes in the design and features of the site, including the addition, deletion or modification of any element, as well as changes in criteria, using a graphical user interface by non-prgramming staff. Overall system security very important, such that access to the site or to information about users is not possible from users. 3º: Programming the code, setting up the system, testing it for bugs. 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done, and all related design, arquitecture, programming and coding documentation in English. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition: Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). 3) The system will be fully compatible with all major Internet browsers such as Explorer, Netscape, Safari, etc. ## Platform Intel based hardware and Linux environment
