Hi, I have 20+ years of database consulting experience in the database platforms such as MSQL, MySQ:L and Sybase ASE covering variety of activities including large volume data import/export. Since scope not fully defined the above quote is with the assumption of 8 person-hours of effort. if scope of work requires more effort then the cost would be increased proportionately. pleaser clarify the following: - is 8GB csv file a single file ir multiple files? - does it involve only one set of data or multiple sets of data? - what is the encoding of the file(s) UTF8 or any other single/multi byte character set? - what are the challenges currently faced if any attempts were made to import data? - is it only handling of large file or any other challenges? hope to hear from you regards Babu
