I have an Excel spreadsheet (from a CSV file) with a few hundred rows of location references (name and location reference)
I need these to be converted by a javascript code to convert into a different location type, using the JS code from here: [login to view URL]
The conversion has two steps.
**Detailed explanation:**
In the Excel spreadsheet the data is saved under columns:
- Name (eg 'Abbey Wood, London')
- OS Grid Reference East (Eastings) (eg '547300')
- OS Grid Reference North (Northings) (eg '179000')
1st Conversion
The Eastings and Northings need to be converted into OSGB36 coordinates (Latitude and Longitude) via the JS code in the "* convert OS grid reference to geodesic co-ordinates*" section.
The output of this is OSGB36 Latitude / Longitude.
2nd Conversion
The OSGB36 Latitude / Longitude from the 1st Conversion needs to be converted into WGS84 Latitude / Longitude coordinates.
The JS script for this is here - <[login to view URL]> - , using the "function convertOSGB36toWGS84" function, however you may need to View Source to get the full JS code.
I then want both the OSGB36 Latitude / Longitude coordinates and Latitude / Longitude WGS84 coordinates saved in an Excel file on the same row, along with the original Name and Eastings / Northings data.
