iPhone App for Public Library

Looking for a quote on building the following iPhone application and establishing and ongoing working relationship for future iPhone apps. This App will be released for free in the App Store so that patrons of our library may download the app and interact with the library’s Integrated Library Management system. Our library system has all type of media in its inventory from books to CDs and DVDs. There are multiple library locations in our geographic region. The ILS system is a client-server platform with proprietary client software and a Microsoft SQL database. The app must provide the following functionality: UI Functionality - Generate onscreen barcode of patron's account number for use at check-out of physical library locations (instead of plastic member card) - Search the inventory of the library using parameters such as title, author, isbn (specific list to be provided) - Display search results with book cover thumbnails provided via 3rd party website [login to view URL]) - Display book detail view with publishing data provided by the ILS database and cover thumbmail - Integrate book review from 3rd party website - Login with ILS patron account - Add books to user’s reservation list - Check book reservation status - View overdue charges - Browse Top 10 lists of Books (Best "sellers”, Newest Books) - Nearest library branch locator with map - Set nearest branch of preference on phone Intergrated Library System (ILS) Details Database is Microsoft SQL Server App requires the server-side interface likely via JSON to be coded as well. I will look to the developer to provide recommendation on best server interface protocol. I have access to developers skilled in Microsoft C# and WCF. Service Business Logic The ILS database provides the following types of information necessary to drive the app. - Book and media (DVD, CD) inventory status - Book and media details (author, publisher, published date - User accounts - Branch locations - Top 10 Lists - Reservation status - Account details (overdue fees, account expiry) This application must compile with Apple Development Guidelines for App Store submission.
