Listing finance companies in Australia

Identify and research and collate data on finance companies in Australia. More specifically: 1. Develop a comprehensive list of finance companies from public sources, including regulators and business media. Collate detailed contact information for each company. 2. Obtain annual reports, finance statements, prospectuses and product disclosure statements of finance companies. You will work with the publisher to define the best approach to this work and to seek assistance to complete the work. In respect of task #2 the publisher may have to obtain the reports in some cases or where payment of a fee to the securities regulator is required. However, many documents will be free to download from websites. At this stage this is the limit of the project. However, working from the data compiled in this project the plan is to develop a program of additional work, which might include analysis of the reports and financial statements and write short articles on some of the businesses. There may also be a need to compile a database of key financial data for each company. Bids from people with experience researching aspects of business and the economy in Australia are encouraged, including from anyone working from the south Pacific or other country with close ties to Australia.
