Hi, I'm looking for someone to help improve an existing Excel macro that I'm currently using. Specifically, the macro is designed to insert a picture into a comment (note). I have a few improvements I require: 1. This macro works ok for Office versions up 2016 but Office 365 introduced changes to comments, mostly renaming them to "notes" and having a new feature called comments instead. I need to modify this script to support both the older versions and Office 365. 2. The macro can only ad a comment into a single cell but not into merged cells. 3. The current macro is something I put together from bits and pieces I found online and might not be well written. I would like my scrip reviewed and fixed where ever is needed. 4. There is an issue with an internal structure of excel files that when you start adding and removing rows with those comments. Within the the "code" of the file and ID is generated for each element. When you start adding/removing new lines the ID isn't changed but rather gets another ID under the same block so over time you can get multiple IDs for each one until something gets broken and all comments are removed. There is a way to mend this by editing the file "code" (rename as XML and edit as far as I remember) by removing all excess IDs and leaving only one. This is a manual process but it works. If this issue can be avoided or be fixed by the macro that would be awesome. 5. The current macro is actually a combination of two modules. I would like to have them combined into a single module. 6. Any other ideas and improvements to make it more reliable and efficient. This is not a big project for someone knowledgeable in macros but I'm in no rush so the timeline for these improvements is 1-2 weeks. The existing With the improvements, I'm expecting a macro that is more efficient and reliable than the one I have right now. If this goes well there might be second and third stage\project.
