Receptionist Job Summary Responsible for handling front office reception and administration duties, including greeting guests and offering them a beverage, answering phones, handling company inquiries, and sorting and distributing mail. Mail also schedule meetings and travel for executives. Primary responsibilities Answer phones and operate a switchboard. Route calls to specific people. Answer inquiries about company. Greet visitors warmly and make sure they are comfortable. Call persons waiting for visitor and book them a room to meet in. Schedule meetings and conference rooms. Make coffee and set out food. Ensure reception area is tidy. Coordinate mail flow in and out of office. Coordinate office activities. Handle phone calls from people calling in sick. Gather personal and insurance information. Hand out employee applications. Arrange appointments. Cash out people when necessary. Validate parking tickets. Give visitors badges and direct them to where they can sign in. Issue parking passes. Send email and faxes. Collect and distribute parcels and other mail. Perform basic bookkeeping, filing, and clerical duties. Prepare travel vouchers. Take and relay messages. Update appointment calendars. Schedule follow-up appointments.

Hi, I am Theotis H. In brief, a semi-retired Systems Analyst able to resolve your IT challenges. As a problem solver with more than 25 years as an IT professional, my broad experience includes application development, database administration/management, systems troubleshooting, data analysis, spreadsheet generation, word processing and project management. I possess an active security clearance and recently completed 12 years as a Federal government contractor. I am a database specialist and have served in this role as a contractor to the Department of Defense (DOD) Health Affairs, where my primary task was database application development and database management. During those years from 1992 to 1998, I maintained the system that tracked the purchase and deployment of adaptive equipment for DOD employees who had physical disabilities. From 2007 - 2011, I led the Quality Assurance (QA) Team for 4 years where we performed data analysis techniques to ensure data integrity of the litigation databases for the SEC's attorneys. My 12 years of total service at the SEC was as a member of the media processing group. As database administrators we regularly extracted text from Images and other file types, including PDF formats. Our processing techniques were critical to being able to load data quickly and accurately into databases for use and review by the staff attorneys. It was the initial phase of the Division of Enforcement's preparation for upcoming court trials.
