Good evening, your project draw my attention as i'm very interested in security and cryptography and do code for more than 8 years on a Mac. Usually i write my code in C++ (or mix it with some C), this would perfectly fit your project. I could use some of the Objective-C API's Apple provides if needed. Generally speaking i would build this up from scratch with as little 3rd party software as possible to keep it small and portable.
