As we continue to grow, we're seeking a qualified and experienced freelance accountant to assist with the preparation of our statutory accounts and the ongoing management and updating of our QuickBooks account. Key Responsibilities: Preparation of Statutory Accounts: You will be responsible for compiling and delivering accurate statutory accounts in compliance with UK accounting standards and regulations. This includes preparing financial statements, balance sheets, profit and loss accounts, and any additional required documentation. QuickBooks Management: Maintain and update our QuickBooks account to ensure accurate financial records. This includes categorizing transactions, reconciling bank statements, and generating reports to support business decisions. Issue Resolution: Identify and resolve any discrepancies or issues within our QuickBooks account promptly, ensuring our financial data's integrity and accuracy. Advice and Support: Provide expert advice on financial recording and reporting to optimize our accounting processes. Offer insights and recommendations for financial management improvements. Requirements: Proven experience in preparing statutory accounts for UK businesses, preferably with exposure to micro enterprises. Strong proficiency in QuickBooks, with a solid track record of managing and troubleshooting accounts. Excellent understanding of UK accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory requirements. Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies. Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information clearly. Available to start immediately and commit to meeting deadlines.
