I'm looking for a solution to stream to android phones using shoutcast where the user doesnt have to install or open up an app, but rather is prompted via their browser to play the file live, as the url below does.. they seem to have a solution that causes a dialog to come up on android which says 'play live or save to sd card'. We need a mobile and server application for doin the following technique: The mobile application j2me have to make https request to a tomcat server waiting a response. The application must run in a thread (S40 nokia) and when the server send a valid request for the device, the application must alert to the user with a sound and open a form with data entry. This project is for a very basic Internet Radio (shoutcast) Streaming App for iOS 4.x+ devices. The user interface should be simple but nice. Attention to details is crucial. I will provide you with a sample interface and some guideline. The App should also allow the user to enter comments/requests and submit them via HTTP POST into the html form we already created (this should happen without stopping the audio stream). I have an existing web application, created with PHP/MySQL, that connects to a streaming radio source from Live356.com. We have moved our service to Shoutcast and need to connect to a specific Shoutcast server instead of Live365. Currently the connection is made using some Javascript code from Live365, included in the player page. Now we need to connect to the Shoutcast stream, and read the stream details from the new server. The MySQL database has nothing to do with the stream connection directly, but we take the song information from the XML provided by the streaming server, and we use that to do a look up for the same song in our database.
