I have a script for an eggdrop bot that runs no a linux machine. basicaly it says stuff in response to commands sort of like a dictionary script. for instance in a text file theres stuff like topic text for the topic bubblegum stuff about chewing bubble gum and if someone in the channel with the bot says user:?? bubble gum the bot says bot:stuff about chewing bubble gum this isn't really important, the thing i want to do is change it so the user says user:?bubble gum instead of :user:?? bubble gum there are 2 other commands (for adding and deleting entries) i want to change them from user:?! stuff more stuff to user:?!stuff ...
