The instructions below are written to take the virtual machines files and convert them to be used to create your own badges environment. The instructions will likely require the assistance of your network administrator, especially if you wish to use this on the school/corporate network. Please get permission from your network administrator before beginning, as it may violate user and/or network agreements. Get a static IP address from your network administrator, as well as a hostname (eg. [login to view URL]) Install virtual machine template to VMWare Workstation, ESXi, Fusion, or Player. You can get VMWare player here [login to view URL] Once launched, the IP address will be [login to view URL] Change the IP address of your computer to be on that subnet (eg. [login to view URL]) Launch your web browser and to to [login to view URL] and confirm that you are seeing the site. Go to [login to view URL] Login as username: admin and password of: password Once logged in, go to Settings, then change the Site Title, Tagline, WordPress Address, Site Address, Email address, and any other settings that are different for your environment. Save changes. Go back to your virtual machine, and change the IP address by selecting "Advanced Menu" then "Networking." Select “StaticIP” address and press enter. Enter your IP address information on this screen, and select Apply when finished. Reboot the appliance in order to restart all services. Launch your web browser to the new address of your installation, and login. Select tools, then Update URLs Update URLs as seen in graphic below. In the Wordpress console, select BadgeOS, then Credly Integration. On this screen you will need to input your Credly username and password. You will need to sign up for an account at [login to view URL] for issuing badges. Change administrator password in Wordpress by clicking "Howdy, admin" in the top right corner of the screen. IMPORTANT NOTES: You should change the root password, and root user of MySQL of the virtual machine if using it in production. You will need to edit all pages to change any references of New Milford High School to your own school. Edit any and all content as needed. You will need to get information from your network administrator to complete the setup.
