Question and Answer System (with SQL Database)

We have an existing system in production. It is developed in VB.net with the Pure Components Module extension. We wish to transfer the ongoing software support to a new programming team as our previous lead programmer is leaving our company. He will be available to assist in knowledge transfer as required. The system comprises two modules: - a Server application that manages: -- an SQL database -- media file store -- the user interface for selecting various records in one main screen -- writing data to an iButton (Dallas/Maxim device) -- four (4) admin screens for configuring the system write to the database -- printout to a thermal printer - a Remote access application that manages: -- reading the iButton (Dallas/Maxim device) -- networked accesses to the database and image file store -- display of text and media received from the server via one main screen The first phase of this project will be to understand and check the level of documentation so that it can be maintained and/or migrated if required. The second phase will be to make code changes to enhance the systems operation. You will need to be able to demonstrate your proficiency with VB.Net and willingness understand a third-parties code. You will be required to sign a Confidentiality Agreement and consider this a long-term relationship. We are willing answer any questions you may have to assist your assessment of this project.
