Job Title: Virtual Assistant
Status: Contract, month to month
Reports to: Account Manager
Setup : Work from Home
Job objective
You will perform various tasks similar to a manager or an office administrator. You will provide a variety of services, such as administrative support, sales, marketing, accounting, writing, editing, proofreading, graphic design, website development, social media postings and desktop publishing services.
Responsibilities
Manage contact lists and customer spreadsheets
Organize client’s schedule
Set up meetings between the client and his customers
Make travel arrangements
Online and offline promotion of the client’s business
Communicate and coordinate with suppliers, customers, and visitors
Handle correspondence and transcribe documents
Prepare, organize, and ship proposals and meeting materials
Translate and prepare bilingual materials
Supervise billing and accounting
Process customer inquiries via phone, chat, or email
Write, edit or proofread articles and press releases
Publish email newsletters
Complete market or internet research
Develop and maintain websites and blogs
Manage social media accounts for brands and blogs
Scheduling posts across client’s social media platforms
Requirements
Essential
Adequate determination and desire to ensure that clients succeed.
Proficient in using different social media platforms.
Exceptional customer service skills.
Excellent organizational skills.
Basic knowledge of business procedures and strategies, such as budgeting, accounting, time management, and creating marketing. plans, business plans, and contracts.
Respect for intellectual property.
Team player.
Willingness to admit mistakes and develop skills.
Good punctuation, spelling and grammar skills.
Knowledge in operating basic equipment, like computer, phone, printer, scanner, copier and various software programs.
Superb communication skills and willingness to ask for additional guidance and direction.
Initiative is a desirable trait.
Work station setup
Must have their own computer at home with a very stable internet connection (backup connection preferred also).
Bandwidth needs to be a minimum of 10mbps but more is better
Internet access provided by cable or fiber provider
Communication through chat applications: upwork mesages, skype and zoom meetings
Good and conducive working environment
DSL, satellite and wireless broadband is NOT permitted
USB Headset (combination of microphone and headset)
