A grant to shoot a documentary on my uncle Mukasa Ricks, a civil rights leader from the 60s whom along with Kwame Ture ( Stokely Carmichael ) coined the phrase " Black Power " during their reign in the civil rights moment. He has so many stories to tell.

I would like a grant that will allow us to obtain the proper equipment to shoot the documentary. My uncle Mukasa is on board and has many places to take us, stories to tell and friends and colleagues from the civil rights movements with their own stories and histories to tell. Stories that will for ever be lost if we do not immortalize them.
