Hi Friend, Have done this before. I wrote custom TCP/IP server that scales well and able to handle large amount short-lived GPRS connections. The trackers I used were: Teltonika and Intellitrac. Not sure what you are using but I should be easy to implement new protocol as long as it is documented. Also wrote, powerful Web Based GIS solution able to display the data on the map.
