Check ports for a specific IP address

This is a very simple project. It needs to be written in VB.NET (Windows Forms) Given an IP address (on a textbox), when a Button control is pressed, the application should scan for TCP and UDP ports 1 to port 65,535 on that IP address in a background process (BackgroundWorker will work). When a port is detected as opened, it should save the port and the IP on an access table containing the following fields: Date and Time IP Address (IP address scanned) Protocol (UDP or TCP) Port (the # of the open port) If a New IP is entered, the process should start from 1 to 65,535 with the new IP, but continue scanning the previously entered IP address. We basically need to know which ports are opened on a specific IP address.
