L'analisi del progetto andrebbe divisa in almeno 5 parti: 1) Il veicolo. 2) I servocomandi. 3) L'elettronica. 4) Il software. 5) Il team di lavoro. Anche il progetto dovrebbe essere affrontato in altrettante fasi sequenziali o parallele. Il veicolo andrà selezionato tra i vari modelli disponibili sul mercato. I servocomandi saranno selezionati tra i vari modelli disponibili sul mercato, in base alle dimensioni del modello . L'elettronica sarà selezionata in funzione dello spazio disponibile sul modello e alla disponibilità di energia. Per il software sono disponibili, in forma Open Source quasi tutti gli elementi base, ma la messa a punto di una rete neuronale di controllo richiederà molto tempo di messa a punto e potrebbe essere più opportuno utilizzare un modello di dimensioni più ridotte e già disponibile, permettendo di parallelizzare lo sviluppo del SW rispetto a quello del veicolo. Sarebbe anche opportuno utilizzare almeno 2 team di progetto/lavoro per minimizzare i tempi di sviluppo. L'utilizzo di Studenti/Stagisti potrebbe aiutare a contenere i costi e i tempi del progetto. Necessita definire per il modello 1:10 il tipo di propulsore (elettrico o endotermico) e la trazione (4x2 o 4x4).
