Hi all, I am a VBA beginner and need a VBA tutor (via Skype) for Microsoft Office applications with a focus on Excel. It’s paid by the hour but with a guaranteed minimum 10 hours per fortnight, which I will put deposit first. I am a first year Computer Science student in uni so I do have some understanding in coding. I am also working full time for a bank. Here’s how it works. You will design a course structure that starts with simple program and then go into complex programs. At each session, you will firstly show me how to code a program, then I will try to replicate your results. If my codes do not work, we will de the debugging together. I assume you will use the projects you’ve done before as example so there will be minimum preparation time. In the process, you will also teach me things like best coding practices, how to debug a program etc. It will be 1 hour each on three week days and a 2-hour on a weekend day. So 10 hours per fortnight. My study hours are 12am to 2am weekdays (Melbourne, Australia local time; GMT + 11)—You can just Google “Melbourne 12am = ? your country time” for you local time. For weekends, that would be evening my local time, but I am more flexible about what hour to start. This is likely to be an on going thing. I think I will probably do it for two months first. But I will place deposits on a per fortnight basis. And just give a heads-up should you or I do not wish to continue. Hi Jason. I become a bit "famous" in 2008 by coding an Excel file - part of AC/DC then new album campaign. Not sure if you can find it now but it uses an interesting coding technique. (Explained later in Bill Jelen's YouTube classes). I may be able to teach you some useful stuff, however I have full time job, too... so my schedule cannot fully fit into yours. I would suggest hiring more people for your training. Thus I believe you will learn more. As about me, I can teach Excel, Word, Access, and Outlook (from VBA perspective) and I can do 2 weekdays and 1 day on weekends. As about the other guys who have placed their bids - I know some of them personally plus I have been around for quite some time. So... general rule: avoid Asian guys - they usually have terrible English skills and often their coding skill are doubtful. One big exception is user koolsidz. He is a perfect Indian coder with perfect English skills. I can also recommend wsh2 and fedalal2. Good luck, Svet.

Hi Jason, Your VBA tutoring request is exactly what I was looking for. I used to work as a VBA developer for a few years, then progressing to Data Analysis and Business Analysis, but the VBA knowledge always made me stand out - if you look at my work experience I can tell you that at every job (EVEN the pure VBA developer job) I was beating the expectations of my deliveries During the IMS job one of the contractors asked me to tutor and we did it for as far as I remember 6 weeks. I will look for this material, but even if I don't find it, I can make up plenty of stuff straight away before we progress to more complex challenges - to which I would use my own scripts and tools that I gathered throughout the years. Hello Jason, I'm Data Engineer for industrial databases my area of expertise is VB .NET, VBA, VBS and MSSQL. I'm responsible for administration and coding reports, my main tasks are integration Microsoft technologies with ORACLE DBs and Wonderware platforms (InSQL - special instance of SQL used in industry), I have some experience with SAP integration (reading data directly from ORACLE DB and integration reporting services with SAP GUI - would be useful in banking) I could let you through all VB instances - VBA, VBS and VB .NET, VBA for Excel is very easy. If you would like to pick me up, please let me know what you know about programming eg. importing libraries, loop types and variable types. I think that 10 hours would be enough for VBA.
