Social Media & Content Manager-Established Children's Apparel Company

The Social Media Manager reports directly to the Marketing Manager. This position is responsible for creating original social content, managing posts, responding to followers, and creating and managing influencer relations. You will manage our company image in a cohesive way to achieve our marketing goals. Ideally we would like for this position to be based in our Lexington, KY office but we are open to having this position be remote. We have an employee that will be out on maternity leave so we would like this position to start as soon as possible in order to have overlap with that employee. We are unsure of how and when the employee will choose to return so the position could be contract for five to six months or stay on as a company role. If we grow as quickly as we are trending we will likely keep both roles on. Responsibilities Work with the marketing team to build the social content calendar and yearly strategy based on content planning meetings, aligning with seasonal marketing and business goals. Work with the marketing team to build an influencer marketing strategy, including gifting and outreach, ambassador programs, giveaways, etc. Identify opportunities to increase brand awareness and followers across social platforms. Set objectives for each social channel, including Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest. Coordinate social assets and marketing collateral to connect across all channels. Work cross-functionally with departments to ensure messaging meets brand, marketing and sales objectives and providing marketing support where needed, specifically wholesale. Perform research on current benchmark trends and audience preferences Generate, edit, publish and share engaging content daily (e.g. original text, photos, videos and news) Monitor post performance, SEO and web traffic metrics from social media, providing bi-weekly reports. Communicate with followers, responding to queries in a timely manner and monitor customer tags Coordinate assets needed for the website based on seasonal promotions, launches, etc. Assist in merchandising the website collections.
