There are severals approach for solve your requirement One of them is to use if statement for your code for example you can test this code ---------------------------- #!/bin/bash touch /tmp/foo if [ $? = 0 ]; then echo "File created"; else echo "File not created"; fi; ---------------------------- On echo action we need to use a bash command for send mail; I've worked solving this kinf of issue on my servers without problem. Hi, There is no such direct tool which monitors your script and send email. But there are 2 options that you can set. 1. Add a line to send mail (mailx) at the end of that script to send email to you. 2. Create a script and set in crontab to check the process is running or not and send an email Above suggestions are based on my understanding on your notes. THanks
