Hello! I'm an electronic engineer with solid knowledge of bioengineering. I understand what you need and can help you with the code. I work with ECG signal, particularly with the VFC, so I have detected the R peak. I have developed code to implement firmware in dsPIC and Matlab, so I will not have any problem to develop on RPi. I suggest to use Python, but I can handle another language if you need it. I have a question for you: How is the ECG signal obtained? Thanks!

Sounds like a pretty straight forward projet, it is quite easy to get the QRS complex and fetch you the R peaks that you need, and transmit that data over to a server, or if you want i can provide you with the server end as well, live graph of the QRS complex that you can analyse, feel free to check my profile for some of my past projects and review and text me back to discuss the project further.
