Block spiders/robots to crawl my prestashop site

Hi! The first step is always to analyze the web server access logs across several days to identify all of these spiders and the keys that would be used to block them, for each and every one of them. Any specific pages(urls) that none spiders, be it search engine ones or others, should ever be allowed to access: like cart,checkout for example as well as admin and block access to these as well. The above two steps are mostly done manually, because it requires special attention not to block real human visits at any point, which is why the proposed costs may seem slightly large that you probably had in mind. The most cost effective method I've devised thus far is to block these at web server level depending on the web server that's serving the site (htaccess if apache, etc) so they are dropped before reaching php, which saves substantial burden off both cpu as well as memory.
