project is really really very interesting and will be lots of enjoyable to work with it. Well you want actually two things to be done. 1) get price of certain products from retail website. And run it as a cron job weekly or whenever you want. And save it into excel or where ever you want like mysql. 2) your description is copied below... Also, I am looking for software that can lay out all the stores of this one particular retailer in the USA. The retailer's website only lets you see the 4 closest stores to a given zip code at one time, but they have 2000 stores Second one seems to be more tricky than the first one.
