we are developing and open source data monitoring/ logging and remote control suite for aquaculture and hydroponic farming applications. - we would like to monitor and record parameters such as potential hydrogen(pH), Electrical connectivity(e.c), Dissolved oxygen(DO), Temperature (Temp) and others. - Ideally the user would be able to view/monitor the system locally through GUI installed on raspberry pi and remotely through communication between Raspberry Pi and Google Docs. - the user would be able to set thresholds for each parameter that would trigger an alarm if the value is exceeded and send an automated email/text message to alert the user so that they may react to system conditions -we would like to automate the system to have it react to various system conditions. (for example set threshold value of 5.7 pH. if value goes below threshold trigger pump to inject pH up for x seconds. wait x minutes for injection to mix with system. check ph value again if value is still below threshold inject ph up for x seconds if value is above threshold continue monitoring ph)
