Php form that will execute a bash script

I want to create a php form that i can place on my website. In this form a developer can put text about a git commit in one single line. When developer click on submit then a it must send the value to the script and execute bash script but it wont run the bashscript. i have tested and: $output = shell_exec('/usr/bin/bash [login to view URL]'); echo "<pre>$output</pre>"; NOT working $outputt = shell_exec('ls -la'); echo "<pre>$outputt</pre>"; IS WORKING Th bash script is in same directory as php script also tried full path to script If i on commandline do: bash [login to view URL] then it runs just fine so thats also not the problem Need someone that can make the bash script run from php
