In this project you will build a Boundless Server using google cloud services (GCS). Your ultimate goal is to develop a web-based geospatial software which allows users around the globe to upload and share spatial information with ease. The software will include a pre-loaded PostGis database (which you will build) with the following open access datasets: GHS BUILT-UP GRID (LDS) Multitemporal information layer on built-up presence as derived from Landsat image collections (GLS1975, GLS1990, GLS2000, and ad-hoc Landsat 8 collection 2013/2014). Available at: [login to view URL] GHS BUILT-UP QUALITY (LDS) Complementary to the multitemporal GHS built-up grid (1975, 1990, 2000, 2014) Available at: [login to view URL] GHS POPULATION GRID (LDS) This spatial raster dataset depicts the distribution and density of population, expressed as the number of people per cell. Available at: [login to view URL] GHS SETTLEMENT GRID (LDS) This data package contains settlement layers generated according to the degree of urbanization model adopted by EUROSTAT that combines the population and built-up grids in each four epochs.
