Hello! We are an experienced WordPress team and we can help the improvement of your site performance. Your biggest problem is not the number of requests. Your site is with an abnormal time to first byte (ttfb) that goes from 7-10 seconds. That's a lot of time! That's probably caused by server misconfiguration, because your DNS lookup and initial connection is 30-50ms. By solving that and getting to a regular 1.5 - 2 seconds maximum TTFB your site load speed will be improved by 80 to 100%. After solving that we will check all the js and css files requests in order to combine, minify and get rid of unessary loads. Then we use a cache plugin with a free CDN service, to cache static assets. You can deposit the value of the project and you just release it after final delivery. It may be necessary to change your hosting company, if the one that you're using can't solve the TTFB problems.
