Whatsapp has no API, what it means that it is not possible to do that using "official ways". So in my advice here is what I would do: I would buy an android phone, after rooting it I would develop an exploit kludge using a toast reader like the "Automate" for creating triggers. Then I would develop an app capable of sending whatsapp messages using arguments or pipes. That app is the one I would communicate with the PHP server as a middleware, the advantage of implementing that idea is that you can use multiple lines for giving the same service and the mainteniance for your platform would become really easy to sustain.
