ROS osCommerce Site

We are planning an ecommerce site based on osCommerce with many major contribution scripts installed and completely debugged. We also are considering some significant customization of some of these scripts to meet our specific needs. This customization will involve creating many additional forms and tables with some complicated features. It will also include writing some complicated criteria and event driven SQL queries and displaying the results in the appropriate forms at the appropriate times. Much of the work will be done in the admin side. Some will include cleaning up this side to make it a more efficient platform to manage a business from. Because of the complexity of the site we are planning and the proprietary nature of some of the design we are not biding out the job as a whole but instead are looking for bids to supply 2 months of dedicated programming. The individual we are looking for is an independent PHP programmer from Asia or former soviet block countries who has excellent skills and can produce great work if just given a chance to prove themselves. You have a network of friends many of whom are just as skillful as you with who you often collaborate and who also who have not been given a real chance to prove themselves. You all believe you could conquer the world if you just had that great project where you could prove yourself. This may be it. We have quotes from two larger shops to supply the same for under $400/mo. For a supervised dedicated programmer. We are suspicious the actual programmers aren’t getting most of that. We would rather pay an individual directly based on results. Specifically that means that for every one half month period there would be an agreed amount of work to be completed and you would get paid the agreed amount from our escrow account when that work was completed even if it was done in less time. The scope of the work to be completed in the half month period will have to be agreed to in writing prior to beginning the work. All code and customizations once completed will become our property to use and distribute as we see fit. This bid will be for two months of programming work on the terms described above and could be from two individuals who work well together to be completed over 1 month. Any additional work beyond that period will be considered a new project and not constitute part of this bid. If the work is excellent and done quickly there is a high likelihood we will create a new project or even many new projects. We encourage all bidders to give significant information about themselves and their skills including PHP programming, MySQL query design, web site design and template design, their ability to install programs on and administer FreeBSD servers and MySQL databases and their connections with other individuals in their community who can help them if needed and others who may be excellent at data entry. Give links to examples or demos you have created. Yes we admit it we are looking to get valuable work done at a very low cost. But we are also looking to help someone with great skills and who isn’t established to establish themselves. For your bid to be considered the monthly cost for a skillful individual PHP programmer must be in the $250-$400 range depending on skills, maturity and attitude. This work can easily be done from anywhere in the world. This could be some ones chance to establish a solid contact in North America.
