Web Site Update/ Re-design

I'm just launching into a career as a actor, and I need (as part of my overall marketing plan) a small-to-medium, professional looking website that is a home for information about my talents, capabilities (as an actor), and to hold audio clips of some of my VO work. My online marketing efforts will typical bring interested people to this web page to get an idea of what I have to offer. I created a (amatuer-ish) mock-up last year, which you can see at [[login to view URL]][1] I prefer to engage someone who can discuss (in a real-time voice conversation in English) ideas, concepts, issues, etc. for the website--in addition to textual communications (email and IM). My main goal is an updated, professional look that a competent web programmer can maintain without too much trouble. I also need a commitment to meeting the urgency deadline I have for this website facelift. Keep in mind that your bid should include an estimate of time as well as of money. A template/skin CMS approach is desirable for the ability to add pages as needed (e.g. list of stage plays, for example). The overall site Template/Skin should have more of a rustic look than a "hi-tech" look. Active-element paintings in the artist studio (or Logbook) should be modular, allow management of the contents of both. Use of an Embedded Audio/Video Player is preferred so that the site visuals do not distract from the audio track (which is, after all, what I'm selling). For Improv and Stage pages, a Slideshow or Photo Showcase (Audio / Video / Photo) Widget is desirable. Also desirable (eventually) is that my Facebook fan-page updates can be echoed to this website (and show up as a "news feed" on the "About page"). NOTE: FaceBook fanpage and related feeds need not be part of this bid. You may include that work in your bid, or we can discuss it as additional work for additional pay. Look-and-Feel of the "Artist's Studio" content of the Voice Over Page should be modeled (loosely) on the Mock-Up I made (on [login to view URL]), which is a "child's drawing" of my intent. Final rendition of this should be somewhere between Photo-Real and "Starry Starry Night." If you're thinking colored-pencil sketch, that will be viewed well. The degree of detail should be more than in my mock-up (a work table, a paint-mixing corner, a window to the outside country-side, etc), but the overall look should not be too cluttered. The visuals should not overwhelm the real message: my Audio Tracks. The Studio should be somewhat rustic (not New-York modern), but set in the present day. Think French countryside, if that helps. Each Audio Clip is represented by a painting visible in the Artist's Studio. The UI should be clean & obvious. The target audience for this website is directors, producers, & agents (oh my!) Desirable, but not required for the bid, is the Artist's Portfoilo/Logbook/Journal/Dream/Vision pop-up Widget. This could be sitting in the Artist's studio as an active element. When clicked, it can pop-up, occlude the entire studio and present the user with a page-flippable journal. Each page in the journal can be a sketch, a photo, a video, or other imagery which (like the paintings) can be clicked to hear an audio sample. (Again, you may include this journal element and functionality in your bid, or we can talk about it as a separate negotiation) The pages of the journal, like the paintings hanging on the studio wall, should all be manageable (allowing me to add/delete/move these around as required as my work and the site evolve together). There is no ~Photo~ of Me on the Voice Over Page, although it would be good if the Artist himself were a Characticture/Illustration of Me. There will be Photos (slideshow style) for the individual stage play pages, as appropriate ...if any of this detail materially changes your bid, please re-submit ASAP. In most cases, this should match the conversation we've already had.
