Manhattan Facebook Application (just calling it manhattan - would like other locations such as boston too) There are hundreds of apartments that are rented each day in Manhattan. Manhattan renters have to pay as much as 15% of the yearly rental fee to a broker just to get an apartment. I would like a facebook application that would make it easier student apartment aids and landlords to rent out apartments without a broker. I would like to be able to make profit on this application so if you have any ideas on what I could do let me know. Landlords/students can upload pictures of apartments for rent. A hyperlink above it would show the cross streets, part of town and monthly rent. (closeness to NYU and other universities) Ability to show in text: "# of users live within 5, 10, 15 miles of you" Nearest Friend is on "2nd Avenue" and Cross street 23rd. Ability to show your "militia" (list and photos underneath you that show who is close to you" (mini version of facebook app Entourage) Users that live within 5 city blocks of you. You can participate in a mini game like my guy eggs your guy and the other user can do it back. A student's user status can put "username" is enjoying his new apartment in manhattan (show album of photos original broker uploaded) = APP Available at Manhattan facebook application> : User can put google maps up that pinpoints where the apartment building location is. Another user can buy their lease from the landlord (fee for changing lease) + pay monthly rent. Facebook student can input into the app the street and zip in which he lives. The facebook application would then alert the student's friends when an apartment nearby comes up for rent. Thus the student could get friends to move closer to him. Users would be notified when someone rents an apartment near them. Make graphics so that the facebook application looks nice. Let me be able to send a template out on facebook auto every 3-5 days so I can let them know current apartments for rent. for the website for the application: Create 5 designs with single backend that show current facebook users with apartments for rent. The facebook users could be brokers. Add an option to charge landlords $5 to add a listing to the facebook database. Our facebook page would then put it on the available list. This would be great as potential tenants would not have to pay a broker fee. Feel free to add features to this facebook app that would get me more traffic and thus let me earn a profit. More profit for me = more work for you. Ability to keep a larger profile of yourself and info about you on the actual website with google ads. Ability on website database to search for apartments and which facebook friend has them: Sort by price, location, date of availability, bedrooms, contact info.
