This request scopes a fast and interesting project--in a nutshell, a working Flash app that can play MP3 tracks stored in an Amazon S3 'bucket.' The aim is to validate whether S3 delivers bits adequately, AND to assess the security of S3-in-Flash.
The prototype application will:
* Accept text-box input of one or more track names (e.g. "[login to view URL]" [separator character between files]
* Retrieve track from Amazon S3 'bucket'
* Pass required S3 Credentials and Secret Access Key
* Play track audio using built-in Flash player capability
* Enable Fwd (next track) and Back (previous track) control over track playback. [Objective here is to benchmark the latency introduced by S3 fetch]
* Allow for easy recompile with different S3 bucket path, credentials, secret keys
We will provide S3 credentials if necessary, but prefer contractor to provide S3 credentials and include reimbursement in bid.
We will provide (upload) MP3 files to designated S3 bucket.
