PHP Page Counters and Article Count

I want to add the following features to my website at: [login to view URL] 1. On the home page, I want to display a count of all articles on this web. That would mean counting all the html files in the subfolders only, and then subtracting the number of subfolders, because there is one [login to view URL] file in each subfolder that should not be counted. 2. On each article, I would like to display a count of the number of times that particular article was viewed. I understand this will require a database for storage, and that's fine. I am a reseller host, so we can do whatever is necessary to make it happen. Currently, there is no database, nor do I want to store anything else in the database but this information. You will be responsible for providing me with the information I need to "plant" the values into my HTML pages, or do it for me. I use FrontPage to develop my web, and I do so on my hard drive, then I publish to the web. I do not edit in Real-time. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask. I may choose a bidder, but not officially until Tuesday, since I've got money going into my PayPal account that day, and cannot pay the escrow for Rentacoder until then. It is, of course, your choice to wait until Tuesday to perform the work, but I will likely pick a bidder within 24 hours. I won't necessarily pick the cheapest bidder. And I'll likely give a bonus to anyone who "comes through in shining colors". ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
